Douds

Kevin Duane GIRE, 59, of Douds, Iowa passed away on July 10, 2019. He was born on September 8, 1969 to Sharon DUGGINS and Stanley GIRE. Kevin graduated from Burlington High School and later moved to Douds. He married Angela GIRE on June 19, 1993 and together they raised Austin and Jordan. Kevin and Angela later divorced.

Kevin worked for Agriland FS and truly enjoyed the work that he did. He enjoyed fishing, football - especially the Indianapolis Colts, and working on cars. Kevin was a good cook and was known for his creamy pork chop pasta. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending his time with them.

He is survived by his mother, Sharon BOLANDER; five children, Kayla TIJERINA, Marissa HOSTETTER, Brady GENGENBACHER, Austin (Kelsey) GIRE, Jordan GIRE (Trevor Harp); a granddaughter, Graceyln; five siblings, Brian GIRE, Rick GIRE, Angela MOYER, Melissa BOLANDER, Jason BOLANDER; and ex-wife, Angela GIRE.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley GIRE; and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Pedrick Funeral Home - Douds with Pastor Phil Campbell officiating. Visitaiton will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Pedrick Funeral Home - Douds. Memorial contributions in Kevin's honor may be made to his family to be designated at a later date.
