Death Takes C. Manning

Cecil G. MANNING, 76, 907 E. Jefferson, died at 9 p.m., Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had been in failing health several years.

Last rites will be on Wednesday at 2 p.m., at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Wilken officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9.

Mrs. MANNING was born on Nov. 11, 1898, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Sherman and Ella SHEPHERD HAIFLEY. On Dec. 7, 1916, she was married to Roy R. MANNING.

She was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church at Germanville.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Dalene HOUSEAL of Fairfield; two sons, Kenneth E. MANNING, Route 2, Brighton; and Keith D. MANNING of Bradford, R.I.; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and six sisters.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
