George HREBAR, 76 of Fairfield died at 10:40 A.M. Tuesday March 19, 2019 at his home. Arrangements are pending at Cranston Family Funeral Home, Fairfield.

GEORGE HREBAR
Fairfield, IA

George HREBAR, 76, of Fairfield Iowa, passed away in his home surrounded by family, friends, love and peace. He had been ill for some time, but true to form, he never let on and remained his positive happy self. George was born on February 5th, 1943 in Springdale, PA to George and Pauline (LAVERICH) HREBAR.

He is survived by his three daughters; Kelly (Steve) SPISAK of Pittsburgh, PA, Kristine (Greg) McDANIEL and Devin (Sam) HREBAR BECKLEY of Fairfield, and three grandchildren; Jillian and Jenna McDANIEL of Centennial, CO and Quincy George Edward BECKLEY of Fairfield; beloved cousin, Mike LAVERICH of Harwick, PA, and countless friends around the world. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ellen (Tom) TUTELO and Christine AKERS.

George went to Connolley Vocational High School and Community College of Allegheny County in Pennsylvania and served as Signalman E3 on the USS Coontz DLG-9 in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1965. George moevd to Fairfield, IA in 1981. Since the 1970's (sic) he has been a part of the Transcendental Meditation Movement founded by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, being a part of the Movement has guided his life to always seek enlightenment while making the world a more peaceful place.

He has had many successful careers in his life but was most recently owner of Lucky's Transportation, doing what he loved to do, driving and connecting with people from all around the world. For many years and even weeks before his death he had been an avid dancer and He will dance on forever in our hearts. George was a Divine Soul and eternally optimistic, who wanted nothing but bliss for everyone in the world.

George's body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 30th at 2:00 p.m. at 408 West Lowe in Fairfield, Iowa. Cranston Family Funeral Home, Fairfield is assisting the family.

Memorials in George's honor may be directed to the family to be given to his grandchildren and may be mailed to P.O. Box 1841, Fairfield, IA 52556.
