MRS. MARY BOYD DIED IN COLORADO

Mrs. Mary BOYD, a former resident of this city, died Thursday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Emma McCARTHY in Victor, Colorado after an illness of some time. Mrs. BOYD was well known here as the widow of Andrew BOYD who conducted a little store near the Burlington depot several years ago.

After the death of her husband Mrs. BOYD went to Colorado to make her home and has been gone from Fairfield for a number of years. Her old friends were greatly shocked to learn of her death last Thursday and that the remains would be brought to this city for burial. The body arrived yesterday afternoon and was accompanied by her daughter Mrs. McCARTHY of Victor, Col., and the son Andrew of Texas. The younger daughter Nellie arrived today from California.

Mrs. BOYD's body was taken to the old home on the corner of Fifth and Depot streets where the funeral will be held. The interrment will take place in Evergreen cemetery.

The last services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock at the home and Rev. W. W. Montgomery of the Presbyterian church will have charge.

This data has been transcribed for genealogical purposes; I am not related to the subject.
