CHARLES LEONARD ROBERTS
Cantril, IA

Charles Leonard ROBERTS, born August 26, 1945, passed away March 5, 2019. He taught Building Trades at Fort Madision Community High School for 17 years where he was involved in V.I.C.A. (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) teaching home construction skills and would work with his students to build a house annually on Vica Lane in Fort Madison, IA. He was an active bicyclist in his earlier years, completing Ragbrai numerous times. He was a long time resident of Van Buren County, spending the last many years residing in Cantril, Iowa. He has struggled with health issues for many years.

Surviving are a daughter, Jolene NUSBAUM, husband Jim and a son, Mark ROBERTS, wife Lisa; 6 grandchildren, Sarah, Lane, Kadence, Kamden, Alexis and Jace.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Eulala ROBERTS; and a sister, Linda SCHMITT.
