FairfieldFrances Lee LOWE, 83, of Fairfield, formerly of Brighton, died early Wednesday February 6, 2019, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield. She was born in Ollie, IA to John Lloyd and Addie Bell CAVIN MITCHELL. Frances attended West Chester schools and married Roy E. LOWE Sr. in Rock Island, IL on October 19, 1960. He died December 9, 1998. She worked at Advanced Ross Co. in Washington for a short time, the Stever House Restaurant and Nelson Nursing Home both in Fairfield, and was a housekeeper at Brighton City Hall and at the Rubio Savings Bank of Brighton. Frances was an artist and loved gardening, reading, sewing and babysitting for many families. She moved to Fairfield in 2004.
Frances is survived by her daughter Diana HILL (Keith) of Brighton, one sister Barbara GESLING of Washington and brother Gilbert MITCHELL of Wayland. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Steve DALTON, her brother Ralph MITCHELL and an infant brother.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, February 8, 2019, at Sandy Hook Cemetery north of Brighton, with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Memorials may be mailed to the family at PO Box 255, Brighton, IA 52540. Gould Funeral Home is assisting the family.
