Maxiene lived a full life engaged with friends and family. Her home was always open, delicious food was always prepared, and Maxiene was always ready to host with the best conversation and card games. She was a night owl who never wanted to miss anything. In her younger years, Maxiene enjoyed cooking, travelling, antiquing, and shopping. She never lost her love of shopping or her generous spirit. She was a founder of the A to Z Card & Social club, member of the First United Methodist Church, and Fairfield Women's Club. Maxiene's love for her family defined her life.

Undoubtedly there was a wonderful welcoming committee waiting for Maxiene and she will continue to be the life of the party Heavenside.
Her tenacious spirit, quick wit, and unwaverling love will be missed. Maxiene is survived by her son, John KANN; daughter and son-in-law, Dixie and Larry WHEELER; granddaughter Christi KANN YOUNGBERG, grandson-in-law Scott YOUNGBERG, and great-granddaughters Ava and Adeline YOUNGBERG; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Daniel and Tiffany KANN, and great-grandson Lochlan KANN; and her sister and brother-in-law Norma and Herb SIMMONS as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
