Jennie L. PECK, 92, of Agency, died at 9:10 p.m. January 3, 2019 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

She was born September 3, 1926 in Wapello County to Marion R. and Margaret NELSON STERNER. Jennie married Glenn M. PECK on June 8, 1946 in Fairfield and he preceded her in death on September 6, 1995.

Jennie was a 1944 graduate of Agency High School and attended the Iowa Success School. She had been a resident of Wapello County all of her life and had farmed with her husband for 48 years.

She worked for 25 years as office administrator for Principal Financial Group in Ottumwa, retiring in 1991. She moved to Agency in 2001.

Jennie had been a member of the Peoples Church near Batavia where she taught Sunday school and was a song leader, served as a 4-H leader and was a volunteer with congregate meals in Agency.

She enjoyed spending time with family and gardening, especially flowers.

Surviving is a daughter, Connie (Lawrence) HARRYMAN of Lockridge; a son, Craig (Dixie) PECK of Fairfield; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan BUTTS of El Cajon, CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert BUTTS, Helen and Robert KOTHENBEUTEL and Ruth VAN DE POL.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Burial will be in the Agency Cemetery (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Monday. The family will be present one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to Peoples Church in Batavia, Hospice Serving Davis & Wapello Counties or Agency Lions Club and may be mailed to her daughter, Connie HARRYMAN, 2873 213th St., Lockridge, IA 52635 or to her son, Craig PECK, 201 E. Lincoln Ave., Fairfield, IA 52556.
