Gayle THOMPSON, age 83, of Milton passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (note: in Iowa City, Johnson Co., IA).

She has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.

Memorials may be made to the Milton Library. Cards and memorials may be mailed to Bradd Thompson, 309 East Harrison, Milton, Iowa 52570.

Gayle was born in Providence. Rhode Island. She married Fred THOMPSON and he later passed away.

Gayle was a nurse in California. She and Fred started various business. Gayle loved to read and do puzzles. She was on the library committee for Milton Library.

She will be missed by her two children, Barbara (Mark) MADDALENA and Fred (Kathy) THOMPSON; daughter-in-law, Gloria; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; grandson, John THOMPSON II; two brothers; and one sister.
