FairfieldWayne "Jack" PORTER 94 of Fairfield, died December 15, 2018. A celebration of life gathering 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, December 21, 2018, at First United Methodist Church.
In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Courageous. Cards and memorials may be mailed to 85 Broadmoor Lane, Iowa City, IA 52245.
Jack was born April 29, 1924, to Harry and Anna (ELLISON) PORTER. He married Bernice JUEHRING August 9, 1944. She passed away December 15, 1999. On January 14, 2002 he married Maxine BUTLER. She passed away June 16, 2018.
Jack served in the Navy during WW II. He worked 36 years for Iowa Electric & Light Power Company. Jack committed to service by helping with Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts and American Cancer Society. He was a member of VFW, American Legion and First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his children, Rick (Becky), Vicky, and Dave (Anna); step son, Mike (Tammy); 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Bernice; 2nd wife, Maxine; brothers, Jim and Ralph "Bill"; sisters, Helen ENGLISH, Gertrude MOLLIE.
