Mrs. Mary DRISH, 88, Brighton Resident Dies At Her Home

Mrs. Mary DRISH, 88, Washington county resident passed away at her home southwest of Brighton at 10:30 p.m. last night. Mrs. DRISH, who had been in poor health for some time had been seriously ill the past five weeks.

The daughter of Paul and Caroline WEDLOCK (sic - WIDLOCK), she was born in Poland October 24, 1850 (sic - 1860). She came to the United States at the age of 19. February 1, 1880 she was married to Frank DRISH who preceded her in death 29 years ago. Six children also preceded her in death.

She is survived by the following children: three daughters, Mrs. Agnes WIORA, Mrs. Julia WIORA and Mrs. Katheryn PALDAUS, all of Chicago, Illinois, and three sons, Vincent DRISH, Fairfield; Frank DRISH, southwest of Brighton; and Lawrence DRISH, at home. Others urvivors (sic) include 20 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Sophie POLUS and Mrs. Alvina PUVIK, both of Chicago.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Polishville Catholic church, southwest of Brighton in charge of the Rev. Father Paul Wetzstein. Burial will be in the Polishville cemetery (sic - St. Mary Catholic Cemetery).

The body is at the Omar Hoskins funeral home in Brighton and will be taken to the home this evening where Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.

Mrs. Mary DRISH, 88, Is Taken at Brighton

BRIGHTON. -- Mrs. Mary T. DRISH, 88, died at her home southwest of Brighton Thursday night at 10:30 o'clock following a serious illness of five weeks.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at nine o'clock in the Polishville Catholic church southwest of Brighton with Rev. Paul Wetzstein in charge. Burial will be in the cemetery there. The body is at the Omar Hoskins funeral home in Brighton but will be taken to the DRISH home this evening where rosary will be recited at 9:30 o'clock.

Mrs. DRISH was born in Poland, Oct. 24, 1860, the daughter of Paul and Caroline WIDLOCK. She came to this country when she was 19 years old.

She was married Feb. 1, 1880, to Frank DRISH, who died 29 years ago. Six children also preceded her in death.

Surviving children are: Mrs. Sophia PECK of Richland; Mrs. Agnes WIORA, Mrs. Julia WIORA and Mrs. Catheryn PALDAUS, all of Chicago; Vincent DRISH of Fairfield, Frank DRISH of southwest of Brighton, and Lawrence at home. Twenty grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Sophia POLUS and Mrs. Alvina PUZIK of Chicago, also survive.
