BRIGHTON -- Lawrence A. DRISH, 87, of Brighton, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1994, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.
The funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. David Brownfield officiating. Burial will be in Polishville Cemetery (sic - St. Mary Cemetery at Polishville). Prayers for a Christian wake will be at 7:30 tonight at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. A memorial has been established to the Polishville Cemetery Association.
DRISH was born Jan. 6, 1907, in Pleasant Plain, the son of Frank and Mary WHEELOCK (sic - WIDLOCK) DRISH. He graduated from Pleasant Plain High School. He lived and farmed in the Brighton community all of his life and never married. He entered the Jefferson County Care Facility in 1984 and moved to Nelson Nursing Home in 1991. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church at Polishville.
Surviving are a sister, Julia WIORA of Chicago and many nieces and nephews. Genevieve DRISH of Brighton is his sister-in-law. Three brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.
