Frank L. DRISH dies at 80

Frank L. DRISH, 80, Brighton Route 2, died at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday in the long-term care unit of the Jefferson County Hospital. A retired farmer, he was a lifelong resident of the Pleasant Plain community.

Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic church with the Rev. William Sullivan and the Rev. Robert Busher officiating. Burial will be in Polishville Cemetery. Prayers for a Christian Wake will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home.

DRISH was a past president of the Polishville Cemetery Association and memorials have been designated to that organization.

DRISH was born June 2, 1904 (sic - June 15, 1904), the son of Frank and Mary WIDLOCK DRISH. He was married May 5, 1930 to Genevieve FRITZ. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, American Legion and Holy Name Society.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Leonard, Brighton; and two daughters, Mary Ann CRAWFORD, Birmingham; and Alma Dean WELDING, Fort Madison. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Kathryn PAULDAUF and Julia WIORA, both of Chicago; and a brother, Lawrence DRISH, Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.
