DEATH TAKES MRS. DRISH, 82

BRIGHTON, Ia. -- Mrs. Elizabeth E. DRISH, lifelong resident of Jefferson county, died last night at her home south of East Pleasant Plain.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Polish church south of Brighton in charge of the Rev. Paul C. Wetzstein. Burial will be in the cemetery nearby.

Mrs. DRISH was born in Jefferson county July 3, 1870, the daughter of Theodore and Mary WAHYBOSKI (sic - OCHIBOURSKI) PECK. She was married to John D. DRISH May 14, 1888. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1938 and Mr. DRISH died May 18, 1939.

Mrs. DRISH is survived by the following children: Mrs. Joe MELINSKY (sic - MELINSKI), Washington; Mrs. Joann BENETT, Altedena, Calif, Barbara DRISH, at home; Walter DRISH, Alhambra, Calif.; McCoy DRISH, Detroit, Mich., Joe DRISH, East Pleasant Plain; Tom DRISH and Herman DRISH, at home.

Two brothers, Frank PECK, Brighton, and Peter PECK, Richland, also survive. One son, Alex, killed in World War I, one daughter, one brother and one sister preceded her in death. She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Polish church.

The body is at the Omar Hoskins Funeral home here and will be taken to the DRISH home Saturday afternoon.
