Page 8, Column 3Peter ZIHLMAN Dies Suddenly
BRIGHTON, Ia. -- Peter Edward ZIHLMAN, 72, farmer living five miles southeast of Brighton, died suddenly Thursday evening. He had been in ill health for the past three years.
He was the son of Andrew and Caroline STABELMAN (sic - STADELMANN) ZIHLMAN and was born on a farm near Germanville Nov. 25, 1884. When a small boy he moved with his parents to the farm which had been his home for 67 years. He never married and made his home with a brother, Jake, and a sister, Bertha.
Other survivors include other brothers, Lucas ZIHLMAN of Mt. Pleasant, Andrew ZIHLMAN of southeast of Brighton and John J. ZIHLMAN, Fairfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Ed ANGSTEAD and Mrs. Emma ROTH, Fairfield.
The body is at the Omar Hoskins funeral home at Brighton where the rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m. Requiem mass will be said Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic church at East Pleasant Plain in charge of Rev. Henry B. Geers. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
