BRIGHTON YOUNG MAN CUTS THROAT WITH RAZOR THIS MORNING - WILL LIKELY DIEBRIGHTON, Feb. 3. -- Adam WYSOSKY (sic) of three miles east of this place attempted suicide this morning about 6:30 by cutting his throat with a razor at his home. He is not expected to live.
The young man was a soldier in the world war and saw active service in France. He was usually of a happy and contented disposition, but his family and friends noticed lately that he had been morose, and despondency is assigned as the reason for his attempt on his own life.
This morning his mother, Mrs. Adam WYSOSKE, called him at the usual hour, and the young man replied that he was not feeling very well and would not get up. A few minutes later the mother entered his room and found him lying in a pool of blood.
The WYSOSKE family have been residents of this community for many years. John, a brother of Adam, committed suicide by drowning about a year ago. Surviving brothers and sisters include Martha, who is attending school in Washington; Kathryn, who is employed in Washington; Mary of Pleasant Plain; Frank, who was summoned home from jury duty at Washington this morning by news of his brother's act; Martin of Chicago; Tom of the Brighton community; and Joe, who is attending the state university at Iowa City.
