Mr. Peter SOBASKI age 83, a resident of East Pleasant Plain for 45 years, passed away at the family home Friday afternoon, November 6, 1931 after an illness of but a few weeks.
He leaves to mourn his death his wife and 10 children Mrs. Pete BANDURA of Creston, Mrs. J. C. IMBER and Helen of Chicago, Gertrude of Ft. Madison, Mrs. Clem BENDA, Tony, John Joe of East Pleasant, Sylvester and Walter at home.
He was a loyal and faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic church from which the funeral was held and largely attended, Monday morning at 9:30. Father Kaufman of Ft. Madison Father Pilarek of Moline and Father Wolfe of Kinross celebrated the solemn requiem high mass.
At the conclusion of mass Father Sendbuehler and Father Pilarek spoke words of comfort to the beloved wife, children and friends.
Relatives and friends who attended the funeral from a distance were Mr. Athon Sourinski and son Edward, Lirvie Karmel, Mrs. Walter Brendt and daughter Jannett, of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Shrack. Mr. and Mrs. Zilno, Mrs. Mihalski of Moline Mrs. Ronsett, Mrs. James McConnille Ellen White, and Mrs. Joe Zaharis of Centerville. Father Kemper, Father Brown of Ft. Madison. Father Gafney of Mt. Pleasant.
