Note: Oscar's widow was the former Emma Agnes ZIHLMAN, and they were married in Jefferson County in 1912. The Marriage Journal doesn't give the date of the ceremony, but the license is dated October 22, 1912, perhaps the date it was issued. Emma evidently never remarried, and died in 1982 under the ROTH surname. Oscar is buried in Sugar Creek Cemetery, Wayland, IA, while Emma is buried in St. Joseph Cemetery, East Pleasant Plain, IA.
