Page 10, Column 1A. P. PACHA Dies At 79
BRIGHTON -- Albert P. PACHA, 79, died Wednesday afternoon at Washington County Hospital where he had been a patient a short time. His death was unexpected, though he had been in failing health the past three months.
The service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in East Pleasant Plain. The rosary will be recited tonight at 7 at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. The Rev. Louis Leonhardt will officiate for the funeral with interment in the parish cemetery.
PACHA was born April 1, 1898, south of Brighton, the son of Frank and Mary BENDA PACHA.
He was married to Teresa FRITZ, Aug. 23, 1921. She survives.
He farmed in the area south of Brighton where he was born until he retired and moved to East Pleasant Plain in 1960.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church and a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus of Washington.
Besides his wife, he is survived by six sons, Walter and Gerald of Brighton, Maurice and Merle of Washington, Robert of Davenport and Donald of Fairfield, four daughters, Mary Catherine ADAM of Fairfield, Joanna PETERSON of Newton, Edna SIEREN of Keota and Geraldine SCHELLER of Glendale, Ariz.; 45 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, John PACHA of Brighton.
He was preceded in death by one son and 11 brothers and sisters.
