DEATH CLAIMS MRS. MINEART

BRIGHTON, Ia. Nov. 1 -- (UP) -- Mrs. Christian (sic - Christopher) MINEART, 84, passed away this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edgar ROTZINGER in Brighton where she had made her home for several years. She had been in failing health for the past five years.

Christena POHREN MINEART, daughter of Vincent & Margaret POHREN, was born in Jefferson county east of Salina July 15, 1865.

She was married to Christian (sic - Christopher) MINEART, Nov. 29, 1885. With the exception of two years when she lived in Kansas and Burlington, all her life was spent in Jefferson county. She lived in East Pleasant Plain for several years.

Her husband preceded her in death, November 23, 1940.

She is survived by eight children, four sons, Vincent, of Pleasant Plain; Peter, of Mason City; Clarence of Earlham and Henry, of Brighton; and four daughters, Mrs. Emma JACBOS, of Eldon; Mrs. Magdalene SWIFT, of Gardenia, Cal., Mrs. Mary HOLT and Mrs. ROTZINGER. Other survivors include 28 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at the St. Joseph church in East Pleasant Plain. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Father Paul Wetzstein will have charge.

The body is at the Omar Hoskins funeral home where it will remain until time for services.

Rosary will be read Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. at Hoskins.
