MANNHARDT dies at 72

BRIGHTON -- The Rev. Charles D. MANNHARDT, 72, of North English, formerly of Pleasant Plain, died Wednesday at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA).

A Rosary service will be held Thursday evening in North English and one will be held Friday, 7:30 p.m., at St. Joseph's Church in E. Pleasant Plain. The funeral Mass will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at St. Joseph's Church, E. Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Louis Leonhardt officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dan MANNHARDT.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Best Funeral Home in North English is in charge of services there and Gould Funeral Home in Brighton is in charge of E. Pleasant Plain services.

MANNHARDT was born April 7, 1908, in Washington, the son of Daniel W. and Theresa KURTZ MANNHARDT. He was pastor at St. Joseph's Catholic church in North English.
