Patricia Elizabeth Black, 82, formerly of Brighton and Fairfield, died at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at National City Hospital in National City, Calif.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of National City. Burial will be in El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego, Calif.

Memorials can be sent to Charles Black, 650 E. 14th St., Apt. 402, National City, CA 91950 or First Baptist Church, 735 E. Seventh St., National City, CA 91950.

Community Mortuary in Chula Vista, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Black was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Brighton. She married Charles Black July 27, 1950.

She was a nurse and homemaker.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of National City and was a co-founder of the National City Food Bank.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Sandy Jean Adcock of Valley Center, Calif.; one son, Larry Charles Black of Oceanside, Calif.; and two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter and three brothers.
