Frances COCKBURN was born in Carlisle, England, September 12, 1887, and departed this life at 10 p.m. Friday, August 30, 1940, aged 52 years, 11 months and 18 days. She came to the United States in 1923 making her home in Spokane, Wash., here she met John KNOPP. They were married at Fairfield, Oct. 6, 1926. They moved to East Pleasant Plain, where she made her home since. She leaves besides her husband, John KNOPP, her mother, three sisters and three brothers in England and two brothers in Spokane, Wash. Mrs. KNOPP was a kind and loving wife, a good neighbor and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. KNOPP was a worker in the Salvation army in England and a member of that organization.

Happy Hour Club Paid Tribute To Mrs. KNOPP

The Happy Hour club met at the home of Mrs. George Dickinson of Pleasant Plain Wednesday afternoon, with seven members present and Miss Arline Chalupa and Mrs. William Hoskins as guests. Meeting was called to order by the president. Roll call was answered with an original verse using the members initials.

The president, Mrs. Wiggins, called on each for a memorial for Mrs. Frances KNOPP. Each lady responded with verses and scripture. These with clippings will be used as a page of memories to her who will be dear to all members. Scripture was read by Mrs. Montgomery.

Refreshments of ice cream, cookies, candy, tea and coffee were served by the hostess, assisted by Mrs. William Hoskins and Arline Chalupa.
