FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TUESDAY FOR MR. ARNDT
(Special to The Hawk-Eye.)

Brighton, Ia, Jan. 19. -- Wm. ARNDT died at his home near Brighton, Sunday morning, January 16, following an operation for hernia.

The funeral was held Tuesday at the Catholic church at East Pleasant Plain with interment in Pleasant Plain cemetery. Father Courtney officiated. A number of Knights of Columbus from Washington were in attendance.

Mr. ARNDT is survived by a daughter, who is seriously ill with typhoid fever. His son, Hubert, died in service in France.
