FairfieldDelfina Ann RECCASINA was born on August 10th 1925 in the Bronx New York, to Vincent and Providenza ROMANO BICA. She peacefully passed away, Wednesday June 20th 2018, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday June 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at Behners Funeral Home (sic), followed by a luncheon at the Malloy's home.
Above everything else, Del was a beautiful wife, mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to serving her family and loving everyone unconditionally. She was the rock of the family, and maintained the heritage of her Italian family traditions for her children to carry on. She made the best Italian food, especially her spaghetti and clam sauce. Del was a deeply spiritual and open minded woman. She was a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation for over 35 years. She maintained lifelong friendships and was a loyal friend to everyone she met.
Del met the love of her life, Peter RECCASINA, and they remained married for 61 year (sic) until the time of his death. They had 3 children together. After living in Florida for 18 years, she decided to move to Iowa to live with her daughter and son in law, to live out the remaining part of her life. Her caregivers became like daughters to her, and she loved them like her own.
Del is survived by her daughter Victoria (Edward), son Peter (Robin), her grandchildren Kelly, Justin, Alexandra, and Christian. Her daughter Denise preceded her in death. Del will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
