JOHN HARVEY
The Villages, FL

John Henry HARVEY, age 73, formerly of Fairfield, IA passed away on Thursday June 7th 2018 at Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages, FL. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at the Eagles in Fairfield from 11AM-2PM. Memorials can be mailed to Chris GARRISON at 2552 Glasgow Rd., Fairfield, IA. Memorials will go to Cornerstone Hospice for the love and care they gave to him during his last days.

John was born on January 21st, 1945 in Iowa City, to Henry and Nellie (SMITH) HARVEY. He married Judy (WHITAKER) HARVEY on June 26th, 1965. John graduated from Fairfield High school Class of 1963. He joined the National Guard and served for 6 years. He worked at Rockwell in Fairfield for 25 years. He later worked at Winn Quarry before retiring and moving to Florida. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, all his family and his dog Bentley.

Left to honor John's memories are his wife, 2 children, Tammy (Jerry) PARKER of Des Moines, Christina (Art) GARRISON of Fairfield, 3 Grandchildren, Jaclyn PARKER of Des Moines, Danielle and Justin GARRISON of Fairfield; 1 brother Gary (Norma) HARVEY of Fairfield, 1 sister, Sandy (Roger) EHRHARDT of Fairfield and a ½ brother Richard (Linda) HARVEY of Cedar Rapids; many nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, Troy SIEVERS and a niece Teri WHITAKER BALIOS.
