Richard E. ALLISON, 69, of Washington, died Thursday May 31, 2018, in Squires, MO. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Gould Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

RICHARD E. ALLISON
Washington

Richard E. ALLISON, 69, of Washington, died Thursday May 31, 2018, in Squires, MO. He was born in Washington, Iowa on October 2, 1948, the son of Merle Raymond and Esther Mae CHORPENING ALLISON.

He graduated Washington High School in 1966. Richard married Diane L. REDLINGER in Clear Creek, Iowa, August 22, 1970. He held many jobs including, Hy Vee produce manager, plumber, county jailer and paramedic for the Washington County Ambulance. Richard served in the U. S. Army in Viet Nam. He was actively involved in many organizations including the American Legion, Oath Keepers and the Rock & Fossil Club.

Richard is survived by his wife of Washington, one daughter, Emily HILDENBRAND (Destery) of Marion, and three sons: Stephen ALLISON, Washington, Derek ALLISON of Tucson, AZ and Rich ALLISON of Fairfield, 9 grandchildren: Anakin, Taryn, Constantine, Soren and Beatrice HILDENBRAND, Marley, Nicholas, Zoey and Zachary ALLISON, and one sister: Jeanne JONES of Scottsdale, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Terry.

Family and friends will gather June 13, 2018, at Brighton United Church located at 101 S. Mechanic St. in Brighton, IA. A procession will leave the church at 10:15 to Gracehill Cemetery for burial with Military honors by American Legion Post No. 29. Following the burial, Memorial services will be held at 11:30 A.M. at the church with Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. A lunch will follow. Memorials for the Shriners Hospital may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 1655 31st Street, Marion Iowa-52302.
