Dorothy L. CLARK, age 84 of Fairfield, passed away May 26, 2018 in Ottumwa, IA (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

Memorial service will be 10:30 am, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating with visitation for family & friends starting at 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery, Brighton, IA (note: in Washington Co., IA).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Libertyville Fire and Rescue. Cards and memorials may be mailed to PO Box 58, Libertyville, Iowa 52567.

Dorothy was born April 29, 1934, to Ward and Edith (PAUL) STAUFFER at Brighton. She married Merle CLARK. They divorced.

Dorothy graduated from Brighton High School class of 1951 and attended country school. She worked as a waitress and cook in Fairfield for many years. Also, a nurse's aide for 9 years. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, traveling reading and doing puzzle books. She was a member of the Heritage Club at 1st National Bank in Fairfield.

Left to share Dorothy's memories are her 3 children, Julie (Richard) KYLE of Libertyville, IA, Jerry CLARK and Debora COX both of Fairfield, IA; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth (Dale) GEGNER of Fountain Hills, AZ; brother-in-law, Dave McCLAIN of Pleasant Hill; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ward and Edith STAUFFER; her grandparents; and one sister, Ruth McCLAIN.
