Nancy SCHIPPER passed away peacefully on April 19, 2018 at her home in Williamsburg, Iowa at the age of 63. She entered in to God's hands surrounded by her family.

Nancy Lee HENDRICKSON was born on January 29, 1955 in Fairfield, Iowa to George and Marvalene (MYERS) HENDRICKSON. She graduated from Pekin High School in 1973, where she was a standout athlete. Nancy garnered All-State honors in both basketball and softball. As a junior, she averaged 43 points per game with a single game high of 61 points. That year she scored over 1,000 points and finished her career with over 2,700 points. Nancy also excelled on the softball field, starting at pitcher as an 8th grader for the Panther varsity. She finished her high school softball career with a 108-31 record, and is a member of the Iowa Girls High School Softball Pitchers Hall of Fame. Following high school, Nancy attended Ottumwa Heights College.

Nancy married Michael SANCHEZ on August 2, 1975 and resided in Cedar Falls. There she worked with the Girl Scouts and as a secretary at an advertising agency. She married Darrell SCHIPPER on May 13, 1989 in Waterloo and enjoyed 28 wonderful years of marriage. They resided in Hudson, Iowa for 17 years where they raised their son, Adam. In Hudson, Nancy worked as a clerk for the city of Hudson, while spending countless hours cheering on her son at the many athletic events he participated in as a Pirate. Her love for supporting her son and his passion for the game of basketball, continued on for four more years, as she became a fan of the Wartburg Knights where Adam played basketball. Nancy enjoyed following the many teams that Adam has coached since graduating college. For the past five years Nancy and Darrell have lived in Williamsburg to be near their grandchildren, happily attending their numerous sporting events and school activities.

Left to honor and remember her love and smile is her husband, Darrell, and her son Adam SANCHEZ, daughter-in-law Abby (TIERNAN), who all reside in Williamsburg. She is also survived by her two siblings: brother Jeff and Cindy HENDRICKSON of Coralville and their daughters Carisa (Dylan) ARNOLD of Coralville and Angie (David) DeGROOT of Washington, D.C.; brother Mark and Ericka HENDRICKSON of Macomb, Illinois, and their three children Myers (Hannah) of Aberdeen, SD, Davis (Katie) of Pittsburgh, PA, and Georgie of Waco, TX. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Marlys CLARKE of Allison, IA. Nancy leaves behind four grandchildren, Taylor (9), Tenley (7), Tyson (7), and Teagan (4), who lovingly called her Nana, and always will. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marvalene.

Nancy will be remembered for her dedication and devotion to her family. She felt truly blessed having four grandchildren who were the love of her life. Her sense of humor and enduring strength will never be forgotten and left an impression on all who knew her.
