Alice Marie Starr Huth, 93, of Keota and formerly of Fairfield, died at 7:18 p.m., Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Stephen Page officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

A Rosary will be recited by the Altar & Rosary Society at 4 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home .

Prayers for a Christian Wake will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with family visitation to follow.

Mrs. Huth was born Dec. 22, 1911, in Eldon, the daughter of James Arthur and Emma Roberts Starr. She married Charles Milo Huth Feb. 23, 1946, at St. Mary Catholic Church. He died Nov. 14, 1986.

She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary at The Dexter Co.

She was a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary Society.

Prior to living at Maplewood Manor in Keota, she had resided in Wellman, Hobe Sound, Fla., and Fairfield.

Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Jones of Wellman, Kathy Nicholl and husband Ken of Glendale Heights, Ill.; one son, Tom Huth and wife Susan of Longmont, Colo.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Starr Hunt of Fairfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Barbara Susan Huth and Mary Ellen "Ellie" Hayden; and one sister, Madeline Starr Bouslaugh.
