James "Jim" F. Bishop Jr.
February 14, 2005James "Jim" F. Bishop Jr., 42, of Libertyville, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, in an automobile accident on Highway 163 in Mahaska County.
The funeral is tentatively planned for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Metz and the Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. The casket will be closed. An Elks memorial service by past-exhaulted rulers will begin the service. Following the Fairfield service, the body will be transported to the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville for a 1:30 p.m. service Saturday. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery in Estherville.
No family visitation is planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Bishop children or the Fairfield Elks Lodge No. 1192.

Mr. Bishop was born Dec. 17, 1962, in Estherville, the son of James F. Sr. and Karel Higgins Bishop. He married Jeanna R. Baxter Aug. 13, 1983, at First Presbyterian Church in Estherville.
He graduated from Estherville Community High School in 1981. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College to become an auto body specialist.
The couple lived in the Fairfield and Libertyville communities 17 years after living in Estherville.
Mr. Bishop was employed as an insurance adjuster for Allied/Nationwide Insurance Company in Des Moines for 17 years.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Fairfield Elks Lodge where he was a past -exalted ruler.
Survivors include his parents of Estherville; his wife of Libertyville; two sons, James F. Bishop III, and Jordan W. Bishop, both of Libertyville; and one daughter, Jillian E. Bishop of Libertyville.
