December 1, 1984.GLEN WEST, 77, DIES TODAY IN FAIRFIELD
Pleasant Plain--Glen I. WEST, 77, of Pleasant Plain, died today, Dec. 1, 1984 at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 P.M. at Pleasant Plain Friends Church with the Rev. Ron Bryan officiating. Burial will be in the Friends Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the American Lung Association.
He was born Jan. 21, 1907, at West Chester to Joesph and Stella BLACK WEST and married Faye SINGLETON, July 25, 1927 in Pleasant Plain.
He lived his entire life in the Pleasant Plain area and was a carpenter, veteran of World War II, and a member of the Fairfield VFW, Des Moines Carpenters Union and First Christian Church of Muscatine.
Survivors include three sons, Homer of East Pleasant Plain, Floyd of Juno Beach, Fla., and Cloyce of West Palm Beach, Fla; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; four sisters, Cecile HARLAND of Auburn, Calif., Icile BOWERMAN of Mesa, Ariz., Clara STOCKMAN of Boulder, Colo.; and Gladys GOFF of Burlington; three brothers, Loren of Pleasant Plain, and cloyce and Gerald of Boulder, Colo.
His wife preceded him in death in 1970. Also precdeding him in death were a brother and two grandchildren.
