HE WAS A PIONEER BUSINESS MAN. GEORGE SHRINER, who was a merchant of Fairfield more than half a century ago, died at this home on West Broadway Monday night at 1:20.....In company with his brother, MARCUS, who died several years ago, MR. SHRINER came to this county in 1848.....The family removed from Omaha, Neb., to Kansas City, Mo. in 1895, and returned here in 1901, and MR. SHRINER passed away in the home of his early manhood. He married MARGARET JANE GOBBLE at Abingdon, this county, Sept. 1st, 1863. They were the parents of five children. KATE, the only daughter, is dead. The sons are T. W. and GEORGE B. of Macuspana, Mexico; N. G. of this city, and GUY M. of Kansas City, Mo. MR. SHRINER was a man of wide acquaintance and many friendships in this county in his active years. He was frank in his manner, outspoken in his language, and there was never any doubt as to his standing on any question.....The body will be interred here this afternoon.....
