ALEXANDER Rites Friday Morning

William (Bert) ALEXANDER, 85, a lifetime resident of Fairfield, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Nelson Nursing Home where he had been a resident for the past six days. He had been in failing health for the past two months.

Funeral services will be held a the Weston Behner Funeral a.m. in charge of the Rev. Harold T. Rasche (sic). Burial in the Evergreen cemetery.

He was born June 16, 1875 in Fairfield the son of Andrew C. and Martha S. KNIGHT ALEXANDER. For many years he lived with a sister, Mary, at 705 S. Seventh. She passed away May 24, 1957. He had been a custodian at the Jefferson county hospital, for the late Dr. J. Fred Clark (sic - Clarke) and at the First Christian church. He was a member of the Free Methodist church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. He was the last member of the immediate family.
