Treva Rebecca GREINER, 89, of Fairfield, IA passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield. As were her wishes her body will be cremated. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on April 2, 2018. The location and time of the service will be made available as soon as they have been finalized. Burial will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.cranstonfamilyfuneralhome.com .

Treva Rebecca GREINER, 89, of Fairfield, IA passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield. As were her wishes her body will be cremated. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Cranston Family Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Treva's honor be directed to the Fairfield Community School District to be used for the school bus GPS tracking project or the Senior Meals on Wheels Program. Treva Rebecca GREINER was born April 2, 1928 in Fairfield, IA to Lealdes and Edith CRENSHAW PHILIPS. She grew up and attended school in Fairfield. Treva later met and fell in love with Joseph Albert GREINER. The two were married on August 29, 1946, and became the proud parents of five boys. Treva worked as a waitress at the Fairfield Maid-Rite for many years.

She then began driving a bus for the Fairfield Community School District. It was a job that she truly loved, especially going on the activity bus trips to the different school events. Treva enjoyed gardening, bird watching, puzzles, and listening to country music. She created many memories on the bus trips she took with the Heritage Club and always made sure to cheer for the Iowa Hawkeyes and her grandchildren at their sporting events.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family and many friends.

Treva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph (d. 1992) and seven siblings, Dale PHILIPS, Eva PHILIPS HOOTMAN, Doyle PHILIPS, Erma PHILIPS JOHNSTON, Donald PHILIPS, Maynard PHILIPS, and Shirley PHILIPS BAIRD.

Left to honor her memory are he (sic) children, Ron (Val) GREINER of Missoula, MT, Kenny (Donna) GREINER of Brighton, IA, Steve (Sheryl) GREINER of Fairfield, IA, Tom (Deb) GREINER of Lockridge, IA, and John (Lynne) GREINER of Boone; IA; one sister, Meda PHILIPS KOPSICKER (sic - KOPSIEKER), as well as many extended family and friends.
