B. L. GOSSICK DIED THIS AFTERNOON

Benjamin L. GOSSICK died at his home in this city shortly after 1 o’clock this afternoon. Death was due to spinal meningitis from which he had been a sufferer since since (sic) Thursday night. The funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, probably from the home. The services will be in charge of Rev. Roy Polly, pastor of the Christian church of which the deceased was a faithful member.

Mr. GOSSICK was the son of William and Rebecca GOSSICK of this city. He was born September 20, 1850, in Knox county, Illinois, and came with his parents to Jefferson county in 1879. He was married to Emma VAN NOSTRAND December 28, 1882, and to them six children were born. George and Fred have already died. Harlan, Sadie and Mary Louise live in this city. Clarke resides at Meadville, Mo. Mrs. GOSSICK passed away November 14, 1905.

Besides the children the following brothers and sisters survive: John GOSSICK, Mrs. Zell BROWN, Mrs. Charles JORDAN, and Mrs. William DYER of Ottumwa.

... Mr. and Mrs. Clark GOSSICK, who were called here by the death of the former's father, B. L. GOSSICK, returned to their home in Missouri Tuesday.
