CUT DOWN IN HIS PRIME. FRED A. CAMPSEY died in this city Thursday night …..This announcement will come with peculiar sadness to all who knew the young man, his splendid honesty and integrity, his industry and energy and his excellent habits. FRED CAMPSEY was born in adversity, was an orphan when a babe of four weeks, and faced the world bravely as he grew to maturer years….He was the son of JOSEPH and MARTHA CAMPSEY, was born in Van Buren County, and was twenty-six years old March 2nd. His mother died a month after his birth and the home was broken up. MR. and MRS. J. R. MIKESELL of this city adopted the little fellow, reared him to manhood, gave him excellent and careful training, and he died at their home. Sept. 28th, 1893, he was married to MISS. MANNA YOST, an excellent young woman. The life which seemed so bright and hopeful to them was soon clouded by illness, and now death has wholly obscured it and separated the young husband and wife. MR. CAMPSEY’S remains were interred in the City Cemetery Saturday morning…..
