MRS. AMELIA WHITE buried Evergreen. MISS. AMELIA GRIMES, daughter of MATTHIAS and ANNE E. GRIMES, was born in Park County, Ind., 4 Feb. 1831, one of eight children, there being six sisters and two brothers. One brother, JOHN E. GRIMES, and three sisters, MRS. ABIGALE WHITE, MRS. EMMA TEMPLE of Washington Co., Iowa, and MRS. BESSIE KUNTZ of Mahaska Co., Iowa, survive her. She came to the state of Iowa in the year 1836 and to Jefferson County in 1841. Became the wife of REUBEN WHITE in the year 1858. Three children, ANNA, VERNER and JOHN, the last named departing this life in the year 1865. MR. WHITE also was taken to his reward in the month of April of the same year….
