Doris Stella Asby Stewart passed away February 7th, 2005 in San Antonio, TX.

She was born February 23, 1911 in Iowa and was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William Dale Stewart; her parents, Della and Orin Asby; her youngest son, Dr. Stephen Michael Stewart; two brothers, Howard Asby and Dwight Asby; and one grandson, Douglas Michael Stewart.

She is survived by her two sons, Dr. William R. Stewart, Sun City, AZ; Dr. James R. Stewart, San Antonio, TX; one sister, Marguerite Witte, Burlington, IA; one brother, Donald Asby, Eden Prairie, MN; one sister-in-law, Elna Huffman, Long Beach, CA; eleven grandchildren and twenty- two great grandchildren.

Doris worked with her husband for many years in his dental practice in Fairfield, IA until retirement. They belonged to the Methodist church in Fairfield, IA and later to the Methodist church in Clarkston, WA, where Doris is still a member.

Doris always believed it was not enough just to live but to live for something good and worthwhile; and to share whatever she could with her loved ones.

Doris donated her body to science. She will then be cremated and the remains will be buried next to her husband in Kossuth Cemetery near Mediapolis, IA.
