SALINA.

Editors Ledger:-—H. A. WEBB died at his home in this place Thursday, August 15th. He had been in poor health for a number of months, was taken much worse the 14th and was unconscious until the end. Four daughters and one son survive him--Prof. A. C. WEBB of Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. C. W. STOLZER of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Calvin MYERS of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. W. J. RIZOR and Miss Lottie WEBB of this place. All were present except Mrs. STOLZER. Mr. WEBB was born February 22d, 1833, near Memphis, Tenn. He came to Iowa about 1846, settling first in this county, where he has lived ever since, except a few years spent in Lucas county during the early ‘60’s. In 1856 he was married to Mary Jane HOOPES, who died about 20 years ago. He had held a number of public offices and was well thought of by all his neighbors and friends. The funeral was conducted by Rev. W. S. Mitchell at the M.E. church Friday at 2 p.m. The remains were interred in the Richwoods cemetery. The family has the sympathy of many friends. …
