Marceline, MO

Mary L. INGERSON, age 86 of Marceline, died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield, Iowa. Mary was born in Marceline, Missouri on August 6, 1931 to Clarence and Alice (WOLF) ATWELL. She married Floyd David INGERSON November 6, 1948 at the First Christian Church in Marceline.

They were the parents of three children; Judi (Corwin) HINSHAW, of Fairfield, Iowa, David INGERSON, Marceline, MO, and Vicky (Greg) HERRIMAN, of Donnellson, Iowa and grandparents of Amanda (Nick) BROWN, Kelsie (Jeremy) ROLAND, James, Toby and Beth INGERSON, Chad (Jenn) HERRIMAN and Abby Jo HERRIMAN (Bubba Boatner), and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mary worked as a teenager at the Beanery in Marceline where she met her future husband. She also worked various jobs including Goodells Department Store, but the majority of her years of employment were spent at Walsworth Publishing Company in Marceline.

In addition to her children, Mary is survived by her siblings, Peggy BURNS, Patsy DORRELL, and Mike ATWELL all of Marceline, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd, sister Darlene ROSSON, brothers Ronald ATWELL and Howard ATWELL, grandson William (Bill) INGERSON and daughter-in-law Dayle INGERSON.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 16, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marceline, there will be no visitation. Arrangements under the direction of Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline.
