Mary I. FLEIG age 86, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, at McCreedyHome, Washington, IA (note: in Washington Co., IA).

Visitation for family & friends will be 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Behner Funeral with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 pm with Reverend Kathy Remley officiating. Burial of cremains will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to Jefferson County Law Center or McCreedy Home in Washington, IA. Cards and memorials can be mailed to: Cinda EMERSON, 1618 Dogwood Drive, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Mary was born in Ottumwa May 7, 1931, to Ira and Bertha (RUBY) RYAN. She married William FLEIG and they later divorced.

Mary worked 20 years as a dispatcher for the Jefferson County Law Center. She enjoyed going to work each day and her many coworkers. Some of Mary's interests were listening to country music, going to the casino and traveling. Mary loved spending time with her grandkids and family. Her love continued to all animals.

Left to share Mary's memories are her children, Denise BLOUGH of Iowa City, IA, Randy (Roberta) FLEIG of Libertyville, IA, Cinda (Bruce) EMERSON of Fairfield, IA, Bill (Jan) FLEIG of Mt. Pleasant, IA and Jeff (Laura) FLEIG of St. Peters, MO; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly (Charlie) PATRICK of California and Phyllis MORRISON of Oshkosh, WI; one brother, Howard "Butch" (Sharon) RYAN of St. Charles, MO; brother-in-law, Keith HUMPHREY of Kirksville, MO; two sisters-in-law, Mary E. FLEIG and Charlotte FLEIG; and dearest friend, Darlene Lauder.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Bertha; one son, Donald FLEIG; two sisters, Osie LEONARD and Thelma HUMPHREY; and 3 brothers, Paul, Arnold and Carroll RYAN.
