DEATH CLAIMS MRS. PRICE, 78

Last rites will be Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. John PRICE, well known Fairfield resident who passed away Saturday night.

Her death came at 10:30 p.m. at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient for the past five weeks. Her home is at 604 S. Third street.

The services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoskins funeral home with the Rev. Robert McPherson in charge. Burial will be in the Memorial Lawn cemetery.

Florence Ellen PRICE, 78, was born April 22, 1874, in Bonaparte, IA., the daughter of the late Henry and Eliza Jane JONES. She was reared and educated in Bonaparte, and was a member of the first graduating class at the Bonaparte high school in 1891.

She was united in marriage in Chicago to Tom BROWN. The wedding took place Feb. 20, 1918. After his death she was united in marriage to John PRICE on Dec. 28, 1942. The wedding took place in Fairfield.

She was a member of the Eastern Star at Bonaparte, and a charter member of the Sunshine society of the Presbyterian church at Bonaparte.

Besides her husband, she is survived by the following relatives: one step-son, Paul BROWN, Mexico City, Mexico; two step-daughters, Mrs. Loren BRINER, Guerney, Wyo.; and Mrs. Elmer HARPSTRIETH, Lyman, Neb.; five step-grandchildren; one great - step-granddaughter, six nieces and a sister, Minnie TROW of Los Angeles, Calif. She is also survived by several other relatives.
