Page 5MULKINS Rites To Be Saturday
Ray E. MULKINS, former longtime employe at the Louden Machinery company passed away about 2:50 a.m. today at the Jefferson county hospital. He had been in failing health the past two years and seriously ill the past four days.
Last rites will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Lutheran church with the Rev. Harold Kruger in charge. Burial will be in the Memorial Lawn cemetery. The body will be taken from the Raymond funeral home to the church at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Ray E. MULKINS, 76, was born Aug. 4, 1884, in Fairfield, the son of Elias B. and Emma M. CARBAUGH MULKINS. He was reared and educated in Fairfield and spent his entire life in this community.
He was a long-time employe at the Louden Machinery company until his retirement in June, 1955.
MULKINS was united in marriage at Chicago to Marie WORK on Aug. 4, 1907. She passed away in February, 1941. He was married to Mamie BOGARDUS (sic - nee NOTT) on April 5, 1942. The wedding took place at Memphis, Mo.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Franz MULKINS, Fairfield; two step-daughters, Marjorie DROZ and Dorothy E. THYS, both of Fairfield; six grandchildren and one great grand child.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, two sons, and one sister.
