Nathan Allen Van Dyke
February 02, 2005Nathan Allen Van Dyke, 53, of Salem, Ore. and formerly of Richland, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Friends Church in Richland, with the Rev. Stan Bauer officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a general memorial has been established and may be mailed to the family at 29361 275th Ave. Ollie 52576.
Gould Funeral Home in Richland is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Van Dyke was born Sept. 12, 1951, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Richard Levi and Docia Leora Cox Van Dyke. He married Pam Heady July 3, 1977, in Rubio. They later divorced.
He grew up in the Richland and Brighton communities and graduated from Pekin High School in 1969. He received a bachelor of arts degree in music in 1973 from William Penn University in Oskaloosa.
He lived and worked in Texas, Utah and Oregon.
Survivors include one son, Jeremy A. Van Dyke of Panhandle, Texas; one daughter, Wendy D. Van Dyke of Amarillo, Texas; two grandchildren; one brother, Gary Van Dyke of Ollie; one sister Annette Howe of Glendale, Ariz.; and grandparents, J. Ted and Ethel Cox of Bushnell, Ill., and Gayle J. and Lvonne Zickefoose of Bushnell.
