Mrs. DAUB, 78, Dies Suddenly

Last rites for Mrs. Andrew DAUB, 104 W. Madison Ave., will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home.

Mrs. DAUB died suddenly Wednesday noon at the Ottumwa hospital where she was scheduled to undergo surgery for a fractured hip. She suffered a fall at her home on April 1 and was transferred from Memorial hospital in Keosauqua to the Ottumwa hospital Tuesday.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Ned C. Gillum. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.

Mrs. DAUB was born Aug. 30, 1885 in Henry county, the daughter of Andrew and Anna PETERSON THOMSON. She was married to Andrew F. DAUB Oct. 25, 1905. Mr. and Mrs. DAUB lived on a farm southeast of Fairfield for 38 years before moving to the city in 1954.

Mrs. DAUB was a member of the Ebenezer Christian church. She is survived by her husband and the following children:

Louise DAUB, Fairfield; Mrs. Edna SEARLE, Wyckoff, N.J.; Raymond DAUB, Fairfield Route 1; Cmdr. Leland DAUB, stationed with the U.S. Navy in Guam; Mrs. Wilma STANLEY, Hillsboro; Mrs. Erma STANSBERRY, Fairfield, and Robert DAUB, Marion.

Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters:

Mrs. Myrtle PEQUIGNOT, Fairfield; Mrs. Helen HOWELL, Lockridge; George THOMSON and Thomas THOMSON, Libertyville; Mrs. Lottie SCHWARTZ, Winfield; Jacob THOMSON, Fairfield; Mrs. Jessie LEE, Fairfield, and Bert THOMSON, Baudette, Minn.

One brother, three sisters and one daughter are deceased.
