MRS. RATCLIFF DIES IN FLORIDA.

Mrs. Bruce RATCLIFF, former well known resident of Fairfield and mother of Glenn L. PEEBLER, Fairfield, passed away Sunday at Dania, Fla., where she had made her home the past few years. The body is being returned to Fairfield and will arrive at the Raymond funeral home Thursday. Last rites will be held Friday at 2 p. m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Edward Esler officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The rites will include OES services.

Margaret DAVIS RATCLIFF, 90, was born March 13, 1872, on a farm 4 ½ miles north of Fairfield. She was the daughter of Elliott and Mary LINN DAVIS. She was reared and educated in Jefferson County, and spent practically all of her life in this community until moving to Florida.

She was married March 3, 1891, at Libertyville to John W. PEEBLER. In 1920 she was married to Bruce RATCLIFF at Fairfield. Mrs. RATCLIFF was a member of the Lutheran church. Survivors include one son, Glenn L. PEEBLER, Fairfield; one daughter, Mrs. Nelle M. DOTY, Dania, Fla.; two grandsons and four great-grandsons. She had made her home with her daughter at Dania the past few years. Mrs. RATCLIFF was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, four brothers and two sisters.

[Admin. note: There is more than one John W. PEEBLER in the Jefferson County area; the particular one that Margaret was married to, and divorced from, was born Feb. 1, 1872, and died Nov. 21, 1956, in San Bernardino, CA. He is buried in Mountain View Cemetery in San Bernardino.]
