FELL FROM A TRAIN. ALBERT MONROE, a brakeman on a C. B. & Q. freight train, fell from a car Tuesday morning of last week near Lucas and was instantly killed. MONROE was about 27 years of age and formerly resided in this city. He married a daughter of WILLIAM DESPAIN, who, with two or three children, survives him. The remains were brought to this city for interment and the funeral took place Thursday afternoon. DR. MAGILL conducted the services. A number of fellow employees assisted in performing the last sad rites for their comrade.
