Funeral services for Harry E. ANDERSON, 87, former Lockridge resident, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald L. Hickman and the rev. Paul Griffis (sic) officiating. Burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery with military rites.
ANDERSON died at 11:59 p.m. Saturday at Veterans Medical Center in Des Moines (note: in Polk Co., IA). He had been in failing health the past eight months.
ANDERSON was born March 1, 1894 in Salina, the son of Andrew F. and Matilda STORM ANDERSON. He married Mary E. ELLIS at Kahoka Nov. 20, 1933.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Martha J. HOUGE of Kilgore, Tex.; two grandchildren and one sister, Dessie FARMER of Lake Worth, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, four brothers and one sister.
He had lived 50 years in the Lockridge community and worked as a laborer and farm hand. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War I.
