JOHN KRUMBOLTZ DIED IN OTTUMWA.

John KRUMBOLTZ died Saturday morning at an early hour at the home of his son George KRUMBOLTZ in Ottumwa where he had been visiting for some time. The remains were brought to this city yesterday and taken to the relatives near Salina where the funeral was held this morning.

Mr. KRUMBOLTZ was one of the oldest and best known residents of Jefferson county. He was 77 years of age and had been for many years one of the most prosperous farmers in the county. He had been at the home of his son in Ottumwa only a short time and his illness was not considered serious until the aged man was near death. The funeral services were held this morning at ten o'clock at the Lutheran church in Salina.
